About

Built by Marcus Harjani.

Anteroom is a structured legal-review tool for AI launches. I built it in personal capacity, on weekends, because it is the tool I have wanted for the AI launches I review at work.

The premise

Senior counsel time is expensive and finite. AI launches are repeatable. The legal terrain for an AI launch is finite and watchable. A small structured tool that watches the law, cites it correctly, and produces a portable artifact is not exotic. It is what lawyers have for every other domain. We have not had it for AI yet because the law moved too fast for the usual vendors to catch up. So I built it.

What Anteroom is and is not

Anteroom is free to use. The corpus is hand-curated from primary sources. The code will be open. The output is the structured input counsel would expect to see, not the counsel memo itself. Anteroom does not certify compliance and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

For the longer argument, the launch essay is at /blog/why-a-form-beats-a-chat. The corpus index is at /corpus.

A note on day job

I am Senior Counsel at a public software company. Anteroom is built in personal capacity, on personal time, with personal resources. It is not a product of my employer and the views here are my own.
