MGX joins Project Stargate as a sovereign capital partner for $500B US AI infrastructure venture
MGX (the Abu Dhabi sovereign technology investor) joined Project Stargate as one of four anchor capital partners alongside SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle. MGX's participation extended the sovereign-trade-capacity pattern from the G42-Microsoft template (2024) into a hyperscale frontier-lab infrastructure deal, and signaled UAE sovereign appetite for US AI infrastructure exposure on a scale comparable to SoftBank.
