Apple integrates Claude into Xcode as a developer-facing model option alongside ChatGPT and on-device models
At WWDC 2025, Apple announced that Xcode 26 would include support for connecting external AI models, with Claude (alongside ChatGPT and on-device Apple Intelligence models) as a supported provider for code suggestions, predictions, and chat. The arrangement extends the Apple-OpenAI Apple Intelligence template (2024) into developer tools, and is the first Anthropic model embedded inside an Apple IDE.
